MySpace Getting All Sexy for Possible Reboot

This first paragraph was going to be a joke about how nobody uses or knows about MySpace anymore – you know, like, “this ancient thing called MySpace lolol”. But honestly, I think you’ve heard that joke enough. So instead, this paragraph is about that joke, which I’m not going to tell. Yeah.

But seriously, though. It’s beating a dead horse to say that MySpace hasn’t exactly been the belle of the social networking ball in the last few years. And until now, it seemed the ailing …er, ‘giant’ was content to do more or less nothing about it. So let’s fastforward to the aforementioned now and take a peek at what they are doing.

Enter MySpace ‘Everything’, which seems to be a redesigned news feed. And when I say news, I mean real news. It would appear that MySpace is experiencing a focus shift away from mere friend updates, and including things like sports, celebrities, and other facets of the cultural zeitgeist. Seriously, this reboot looks as radical as The Dark Knight does to Batman & Robin. Until awhile ago, the redesign was available here, but it seems MySpace got hip to our prying eyes. Blast.

While there’s no word of how or when MySpace Everything will be rolled out, it definitely appears the crippled titan is finally making a more-than-half-assed effort to get back into the social spotlight. ‘Bout time, guys.

MySpace was the social networking leader several years ago but they let Facebook take them. They don’t have a shot at getting the title back. What they should do is find a niche and build on that.

look at the top of this article, I can share, subscribe, digg, or tweet it…..I can’t do anything with myspace.
Myspace went downhill when Murdoch bought it….it is nothing now except a place for bands to let other bands know when they are playing.
