The Quest for the Perfect iPhone Gaming Accessory Has a Champion

Alright, alright, I admit it. The iPhone is a gaming machine. I’ve spent the last few years actively tearing down people’s insistence that Apple holds any sway in the gaming arena, but there’s really no denying it anymore – they do, if only for silly casual games as of yet. But it’s only a matter of time before real, actual factual games properly find their way onto the platform.

But how the hell are we going to play them? Apple would have you believe that you need only tilt control and a touch screen to play games, but any gamer knows that’s an outright joke. What we need is a controller, or Steve? We ain’t playin’.

Enter Controller or Bust, a movement dedicated to designing the perfect iPhone controller peripheral. Headed by Benjamin Morisse, a prototype is already well underway and kinks are being worked out (not the least kinky of which is netting that coveted ‘Made for iPhone’ seal of approval from Apple itself).

Frankly, a gaming peripheral for the iPhone is exactly what it needs to make even the biggest gaming purists (like me) have a change of heart. I’d really like to see Ben make this happen.

But honestly, he can’t make it happen without you. Ben’s gonna nee d a ton of input to design this thing right, so head over to Controller or Bust and weigh in on what could very well be part of the future of iDevice gaming!
