Apple’s new Cupertino campus

The spaceship will be landing soon. Apple has a curved campus in mind and here’s the first look at the models of the new fancy facilities.

The Mercury News was given an exclusive look at a model of Apple Computer’s circular new corporate headquarters, proposed to be built on a 175-acre plot of land bounded by North Wolfe Road and East Homestead Road.

The structure, proposed to be completed sometime in 2015, would feature solar panels covering the roof, an underground parking structure and be camouflaged by thousands of new trees planted on the grounds. The final vote on the development proposal goes before the Cupertino City Council on Oct. 15.
