Mozilla isn’t planning to release its Firefox smartphone in the U.S.

Mozilla executive Mitchell Baker has admitted that the company has no plans to release its Firefox smartphone in the U.S. The company will instead be focusing on markets in developing nations which have not yet been cornered by Apple and Google.

Bad news if you’ve had your heart set on a Mozilla phone ever since they announced the Firefox handsets: the company has admitted that it has no plans to launch the device in the US.
