Yahoo Japan invested $27 million into BrightTag in order to collect customer activity data

Yahoo Japan has invested $27 million into BrightTag, a Chicago-based advertising software firm,  in order to collect customer activity data. BrightTag announced plans to build a real-time data management platform for Yahoo Japan that will enable the company to collect customer activity data across websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms in real time.

Yahoo Japan is about to know a lot more about you. Advertising software firm BrightTag today announced plans to build a real-time data management platform (DMP) for Yahoo Japan, which just led a $27 million investment in the company. This latest round brings the total investment in the Chicago-based company to $50 million.
