Cameras on the ISS will soon provide HD broadcasts of Earth

A Canadian company called Urthecast has sent a couple of high-tech cameras to the International Space Station as a part of its plan to launch free broadcasts from space in early 2014.

A couple of high-definition cameras recently delivered to the International Space Station are set to start broadcasting near-live images of Earth for free — at a magnification where you can see vehicles and crowds.
