Facebook’s new algorithm change has damaged numerous Facebook pages

As a part of a recent effort to increase the quality of the Newsfeed, Facebook has made some major changes to the algorithm. While these changes are meant to reward brands that publish “high quality” content, they also force users to rethink their entire approach to content creation. According to a study done by Komfo, the new changes have had a positive impact on click through rates and virality but have significantly decreased the organic reach of Facebook pages. 

Whenever Facebook makes changes, people come out of the woodwork panicking and claiming the sky is falling. With the most recent updates, this could appear to be true for a few reasons. Recent studies have shown that the newest Facebook Algorithm changes have had a negative impact on the organic reach of many Facebook pages.
