Nissan to lift U.S. output of Leaf electric car as demand climbs

Nissan Motor Co Ltd said it will lift U.S. production of its all-electric Leaf as demand for the car has surged sharply this year following a cut to its sticker price.

Between January and October of this year, Nissan sold 18,078 Leafs to U.S. customers. Sales might be higher if some areas weren’t supply constrained, so we can probably expect nice growth in sales next year. Nissan plans to increase production either this month or next.
