Twitter is reportedly testing out profile pages

Twitter is reportedly experimenting with expanded redesigns of user profiles which will allow users to do things such as highlight certain content over others, like their most popular tweets. As is, Twitter homepages for users have remained fairly consistent over the years, with a single profile picture and a short biography over a constantly-updating feed of the users’ tweets.

Twitter Inc. (TWTR:US) is testing redesigns of members’ profiles, one of several product updates aimed at keeping users engaged with the microblogging service, a person with knowledge of the matter said. The profile pages, which include postings, pictures and followers, may be redesigned to highlight more useful content, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the update hasn’t been released yet. That would make a user’s most-popular post more prominent, for example, the person added.
