Government could make trillions off of the Internet of Everything

Cisco CEO John Chambers is counting on the software, services and hardware needed to enable the Internet of Everything  to help turn the world’s largest maker of networking gear into the leading supplier of information technology.

The Internet of Everything (IoE) could generate $4.6 trillion (£2.7 trillion, AU$5.1 trillion) in value for public sector organisations in the next decade, according to a study by Cisco. The IoE can help governments create value by saving money, increasing employee productivity and generating revenue and citizen benefits, it says.
