Liquid Image’s new wearable camera can stream 1080p video over LTE

A new wearable camera from Liquid Image is capable of streaming 1080p video at up to 30 fps or 60 fps in “high action mode” live over LTE. The camera is also equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and low frequency RF. Liquid Image is claiming a battery life of up to six hours over Wi-Fi, and between 90 minutes and two hours when streaming live over LTE.

Wearable camera-maker Liquid Image is releasing a small mountable camera capable of streaming video live over LTE with the addition of a detachable module. The device is targeted toward athletes who want to stream their exploits in real time and organizations that want to broadcast their events. It can also be used for home security. The Ego LS model 800 debuted at CES today and will go on sale in June for $199.99, the company says. The LTE module will retail for an additional $199.99.
