Newly granted Samsung patent could possibly be the Galaxy S5

The folks over at the USPTO did grant South Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung a design patent today that depicts a smartphone which is large in size, clearly pointing to the very real possibility of a Galaxy device which will not feature hardware buttons that are located on the front.

Samsung is busy lately providing us with various design patents. What is most common for all the design is that all of the patented smartphone designs are missing hardware button, feature  slightly redesigned bezel and some of them shows with curved display, not bendable – just a bit curved. This one also shows something interesting, a back cover speaker at the bottom and most important unidentified equipment on the right that when you hold device normally could be used as a left hand fingerprint scanner. Makes sense, browse deveice using right hand and swipe the finger while prompted without changing grip of the device.

What do you think?
