Philips launches new display with integrated Android video streaming

MMD, the technology company as well as brand license partner for Philips Monitors, has just announced the spanking new 239C4QHWAB 23-inch Philips Miracast display which will feature connectivity that is based on the Miracast standard. This would go some way in allowing users to be able to stream mobile content sans wires from devices that run on the Android mobile operating system in addition to other kinds of compatible hardware.

MMD, the technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, announced today the new 239C4QHWAB 23-inch Philips Miracast display with connectivity based on the Miracast standard, enabling users to stream mobile content wirelessly from Android devices and other compatible hardware. The new monitor is a 16:9 device at 1920×1080 resolution. The display has support for 16.7 million colors, at a brightness of 250 cd/m2. Internal 3W speakers provide audio. Additionally, the monitor has support for HDMI and MHL wired connectivity standards. The new Philips 239C4QHWAB Miracast display is available now at a recommended retail price of £249 ($414). US availability is uncertain.
