Foxconn is rumored to be producing 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6’s

Rumor has it that Apple is now starting to finalize its supply chain plans for the production of this year’s iPhones. If you keep up with news about the company then you might have already heard that its expected to launch 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models this year. According to a latest rumor both models might be manufactured by Foxconn. Apple has traditionally relied upon this manufacturer for the bulk of its iPhone production.

Apple is rumored to release a 5.5-inch and a 4.7-inch iPhone in 2014 with Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) said to be manufacturing both models, while Pegatron has landed 30% of the 4.7-inch model’s orders, according to sources from the upstream supply chain. Orders for the existing 4-inch iPhone will be outsourced to Wistron. The 4- and 4.7-inch iPhones will be the main sales force of Apple for 2014. Foxconn’s plants in Zhengzhou, China are expected to start supplying the 4.7-inch model in July and start manufacturing the 5.5-inch one in August.
