Samsung has launched a value edition of the Galaxy S4

With Samsung having a smartphone for just about any and every budget, it is not a surprise then, to see that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is still hanging around even with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S5. Having said that, there is a newly launched version of the Samsung Galaxy S4, where it is known as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition which will arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice. Earlier in March this year, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Value Edition was revealed, where that particular model came with a fair number of updated specifications compared to the original Samsung Galaxy S3.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has been made available in a new variant dubbed Galaxy S4 Value Edition. The smartphone is now available in Netherlands via various e-commerce websites at EUR 398, which translates to roughly Rs. 31,700. Samsung is yet to officially announce the device. The Galaxy S4 Value Edition, first spotted by GSM Info, comes with identical specifications as its original sibling launched last year, with the only difference being that the former runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Unfortunately, there is no word on when the Galaxy S4 Value Edition will be released in other European countries and other markets outside Europe. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy S4 (Review |Pictures) started receiving Android 4.4.2 KitKat update earlier this year. The Android KitKat update added a lot of goodies from 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5 (Review | Pictures) to the Galaxy S4.
