Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Alpha have been leaked

Earlier this year we started hearing rumors that Samsung is working on a device with a metal body. The company has always stuck with plastic for its flagship Galaxy S series and this rumor led many to believe that perhaps this year the company might stray from tradition. It did not and then we started to hear about a completely different device that was supposedly made out of metal. The device is called Galaxy Alpha and a recently leaked picture shows us all that it may have under the hood.

While there has been no shortage of rumors about the Galaxy Alpha’s specifications, more information about what this device actually brings to the table will certainly be welcome. A picture, presumably of the device’s marketing material, has surfaced online which shows us the full Samsung Galaxy Alpha specifications. Everything listed here is pretty much in line with what we have already heard about this device. As per the leaked image the Galaxy Alpha has a 4.7-inch 1080×720 pixel resolution display, 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage without the option to expand using microSD cards, a fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, 1860mAh battery, 4G LTE, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. A 12 megapixel rear camera and a 2.1 megapixel front shooter are also onboard. The source that leaked the picture claims that the device runs on Samsung’s own octa-core Exynos processor and that a 64GB model will also be sold in stores. The Galaxy Alpha’s price in Brazil is claimed to be R$2,399 and the date of announcement is put between the end of August and start of September.
