Images of the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact have been leaked online

Alleged press images of Sony Xperia Z3 Compact made the rounds online. The photos showcase the unannounced successor of the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact in all its glory. Unsurprisingly, the design of the upcoming device is quite similar to that of the model it is bound to replace. The most noticeable difference is the presence of a speaker slot below the display, right in line with previous leaks. The leaked images also reveal that the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact will be available in at least four color schemes. They are white, black, red, and green.

Come IFA 2014, we expect that Sony will have a bunch of mobile devices they are planning on showing us. One will probably be the company’s second flagship phone for 2014 – the Sony Xperia Z3, and the other is expected to be a smaller version of the handset in the form of theXperia Z3 Compact. Thanks to leaked photos obtained by Ausdroid, we now know what the handset is expected to look like. As you can see in the image above, the Xperia Z3 Compact will arrive in a variety of different colors, which based on the photo looks like white, orange, green, and black. The handsets also appear to be slightly different from Sony’s design language of the Xperia Z2 and appears to sport slightly more rounder edges. We have to admit that the phones look pretty good and if you’re after something affordable and don’t necessarily need to have the best specs, we reckon the Xperia Z3 Compact should do the trick. The phone has yet to be officially announced but based on what we know so far, the handset is expected to feature a 4.5-inch 720p HD display.
