If you are looking forward to buy a Samsung Galaxy Gear S smartwatch, here is some good news: you will now also be able to surf the Internet on the wearable device. Opera has announced that its Opera Mini browser will be available on the Tizen-powered smartwatch. According to the company, Opera Mini includes many touch-friendly features tailored specifically for small-screen web browsing.
Here’s one more reason why the Samsung’s Galaxy Gear S will keep you looking at your wrist — the Opera Mini web browser will be available for download from the Gear Apps store. According to Opera, the Mini is the first web browser for the Samsung smartwatch based on the Tizen platform. Opera Mini will have finger-friendly controls that work on the watch’s small 2-inch curved Super AMOLED display. These include Smart Page, which lets users look at all their social updates and news, and Speed Dial (also found on the mobile and desktop versions), which lets users get to a web page with a quick tap. The browser also has a private mode. If you are undecided on whether to get the Gear S, be sure to check out our hands-on on this 3G- and Wi-Fi-equipped smartwatch for more information.
