Meizu is preparing another stupidly affordable high-end smartphone

China has been popping out some high-performance, low-cost smartphones lately, and Meizu is looking to continue this trend. The company’s Meizu Blue Charm Note delivered some flagship-level specs for the insane price of under $160, but now the company is looking to do it again with a new device that it will be announcing later this month. 

Do you remember the ultra-affordable Meizu Blue Charm Note (also rolling under the M1 Note name) that we told you about a few weeks ago? We certainly have not, because Meizu made quite the entree on the market for affordable devices with this good-spec’d handset. Just mentioning a 5.5” 1080p display made by Sharp, an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek chipset ticking at 1.8GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera with a Samsung-made sensor, a 5MP selfie shooter, two SIM card slots on board, and a generous 3,140mAh battery to power the whole gizmo for the abnormally-low price of ¥ 999 (~$160) is making us wonder if the smartphone maker is losing some money on each sold unit.
