Snapdragon overheating issues cause the OnePlus Two to be delayed

If it’s anything like its predecessor, the OnePlus Two will be one of this year’s most impressive smartphones. While this “flagship killer” was originally supposed to launch sometime in the middle of the year, recent reports claim that the smartphone has been delayed until the third quarter due to Qualcomm’s issues with overheating with the Snapdragon 810.

OnePlus is a new smartphone company that emerged on the scene last year with the OnePlus One. This smartphone was dubbed by the company as the “flagship killer,” even though purchasing one required jumping through a lot of hoops, OnePlus has managed to create a lot of hype for its next product. OnePlus 2 was first expected to be released in Q2, 2015 but a new report suggests that this smartphone might not be out until the third quarter. The reason cited for this delay has already been heard before. Multiple reports claim that Qualcomm is facing overheating issues with the Snapdragon 810 which could also cause delays for high-end devices like Galaxy S6 and the LG G4. Qualcomm did deny once that the issues won’t have any effect on release timelines.
