Cross-species friendship is the theme of Google’s new Android ad

Despite being one of the kings of advertising Google has never been particularly fond of making its own ads. However, whenever the company does get around to producing ads it makes sure that they’re damn good, and this latest ad for Android is no exception.

Google’s latest Android ad is simply adorable. Called “Friends Furever,” the spot is little more than a collection of cute videos showing animals working together, but it ends with a message: “Be together. Not the same.” That same motto runs at the end of its previous spot, highlighting that while the vast majority of devices run Android, there’s plenty of room to make each phone and tablet your very own. It can also be read as a slight dig at Apple: after all, there’s only one iOS.

What do you think?
