The tablet market is no longer strong enough for Apple to just release a more powerful iPad successor, the company needs to do something new in order to keep people interested. That’s why, much like it did with the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple is rumored to be working on a much larger 12.9-inch tablet which, according to recent reports, we can expect to launch sometimes next year.
The iPad Pro is perhaps one of the most elusive gadgets expected to come out of Apple’s factory gates, especially since the tablet market outside the iOS ecosystem grew tremendously throughout the past couple of years or so. Nevertheless, many Apple enthusiasts expect the iPad Pro to win over the market and wow prospective customers with new tech and a focus on productivity. So far there have been tons of rumors regarding the device, but the most recent ones suggest that the slate will be coming next year flaunting a new type of nano material on the touch panel which will greatly facilitate touch sensitivity and reduce production costs. Earlier today, sources of ETNews have revealed that Apple recently got in touch with LG Display, Japan Display, Samsung Display and other major display manufacturers in order to acquire AgNW touch-panel samples ready for mass production.
