Amazon is working on two new extra-large tablets

Amazon’s first attempt to release a smartphone may have been a complete and utter failure, but the company has been making some excellent tablets for years, so maybe it should just stick with what it knows it’s good at. Amazon must be thinking the same thing, because a new report from DigiTimes claims that the company is working on a new 11-inch tablet, its first tablet in almost a year, as well as a limited-stock 12-inch tablet.

Amazon is a US-based electronic commerce company founded back in 1994. The vast majority of you are very familiar with this company, and have probably used their services already. Amazon is actually a lot more than just an online company, they also manufacture smartphones and tablets, not to mention other projects they’re currently involved in. Amazon has introduced a number of ‘Fire’ tablets in the last couple of years, and also their ‘Fire’ phone which didn’t fare all that well in the market. Anyhow, the latest ‘Fire’ tablet Amazon has announced was the Fire HDX 8.9, and it was announced back in September last year, which means it has been almost a year since Amazon announced their very own tablet. That being said, a new report from DigiTimes actually mentions Amazon’s upcoming tablet. The report states that Amazon is working on an 11-inch tablet, and this is actually the first time we hear about it. The report also states that Amazon is planning to release a 12-inch tablet, but that they’ll have a quite limited amount of units to sell to interested parties.
