Fossil continues to tease its upcoming smartwatch

When we first heard about the new Fossil smartwatch a few weeks ago, there wasn’t much in the way of information, but the Texas-based fashion giant has started revealing details in a series of recent teasers. There’s actually going to be a few different versions of the device, which is the company is calling the Fossil Q, and they all look as well-designed as we’d expect from a company that specializes in fashion, but looks alone won’t be enough to compete with the likes of the Apple Watch and Moto 360.

Fossil today posted more teasers of their Android Wear smart watch. The Fossil Q — which we originally heard about last month — is shown here on the wrist of a couple of cool guys in some very comfortable-looking clothes. The watches look rather stylish on them, though that’s no surprise considering the company’s background. There was a second watch on show on Fossil’s teaser page which they’re also calling a Fossil Q, though this variant does not run Android Wear and does not have a digital display. Instead, it’s an actual mechanical watch that has smart features and is compatible with both Windows and Android phones. The company made mention of a third “bracelet” device, though it wasn’t pictured. The only issue many had with the original Fossil leak was its Moto 360-like flat tire display. Unfortuntely there’s no word on whether that still remains as the teaser above doesn’t give us a very good look. That said, many of you have come to forgive the flat tire display if it makes for a more comfortable and sleek smart watch, so Fossil probably isn’t going to bend over backwards to satiate the appetites of those who won’t.
