Samsung might release a 6-inch version of the Galaxy S7 as well

Earlier this week, we heard rumors that Samsung was planning to release the 5.2-inch Galaxy S7 and the 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge within the next few months, which is hardly surprising news. What is a bit surprising is the newer rumors, which claim that the company actually intends to release four versions of the Galaxy S7, including 6-inch “Plus” variants of the aforementioned pair. That means we might see a Galaxy S7, a Galaxy S7 Edge, a Galaxy S7 Plus, a Galaxy S7 Edge Plus, and a Galaxy Note 6 by the end of next year, as well as the other Galaxy-branded smartphones the company is sure to release. This kind of complexity is part of what turns many people off to Samsung products, but I’ve never been one to complain about having lots options to choose from.

Well-known case maker, ITSKINS have revealed 3D renders of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and its variants. The new renders continue to indicate that the four editions of the Galaxy S7 such as Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Plus and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus. On ITSKINS, four different sized cases of the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy S7 have been found listed. The Samsung Galaxy S7 which is expected to arrive with 5.2-inch screen whereas the S7 Edge will sport a 5.5-inch display. However, instead of 5.7-inch display, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge + will be arriving with 6-inch screen. The Galaxy S7 Plus too will be featuring a 6-inch display. According to GSM Arena, only the Galaxy S7 variants that will carry Edge monikers will be arriving with curved screens like the one present on Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 Edge+. One of the design changes that will arrive on Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 Edge+ is that both the handsets will be sporting flat rears instead curved backs present S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ variants. A leaked schematic of the Galaxy S7 has revealed that it will measure 143 x 70.5 mm. Even though the S7 will be measuring almost same as that of Galaxy S6, it is expected to feature a larger display of 5.2 inches. The 5.1-inch Galaxy S6 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 70.7 percent, but the Galaxy with its bigger screen will offer a screen-to-body ratio of 73.94 percent.
