In yet another bizarre twist in the Facebook story, now  made very public by “The Social Network” movie, a man who was partnered with the Winklevoss twins in a business venture is now suing them for a slice of their Facebook cut. Chang and the Winklevoss brothers merged the Winklevoss property, ConnectU, with Chang’s web development business. As part of the settlement with Mark Zuckerberg, the Winklevoss twins sold ConnectU to Facebook for millions of dollars, and Chang was essentially cut out of that deal. The Google Zeitgeist for 2010 is out. Some of the “Fastest Rising” results are surprising, some are expected. The iPad, for example, taking the crown as the most searched item makes complete sense, since people were not only searching for Apple’s newest little slice of heaven, but looking for apps and instructions once they got it home. While Tal Ater was working on his Green Any Site Facebook application, he stumbled across a javascript object called Video Chat. This object had properties that were referential to Skype’s video chat features, pointing to potential video integration between the two sites in the future. While the application wasn’t there every time Tal loaded the page, he thinks that Facebook could be “bucket testing” the feature. This dream has come true with Dirpy, a cheeky little app now in Beta that lets you turn your fave YouTube or Google videos into lovely ear candy. Starting very soon, you won’t be able to import all of your Gmail contacts in one shot into your Facebook account. Looks like Google is a little miffed at Facebook for not making tools available to let the information flow both ways; Google wants the ability to import Facebook friends and use other Facebook data as it wants to, like Facebook can now use Google’s data.
