Built in webcams have created a way to communicate with others while in the comfort of your own home while Skype has basically found a way to eliminate the costly long distance phone call. But, are we really having an intimate video chat with the person on the other end or does staring at the persons forehead take something away from it? You have a choice. Do you look directly into the webcam to give the illusion that you want to make eye contact or do you look at your monitor so you can see the other person? Coming out of The Netherlands, is a new product that solves all eye-contact video chatting problems….

CS5 is almost here. You better take the advice from this guy and get in line now.

After watching this video, I’m a little scared. It’s like a quick glimpse into the future as I can see myself getting this excited for the upcoming release of Adobe’s Creative Suite 5. With that being said…… Do I finish up this blog? or do I throw off my Star Wars slippers and run to get my place in line? hmmmm.. Its fun to see that Adobe is finally having some fun and making ‘lightroom’ of this situation. Maybe they got this idea from one of their ‘illustrator’s while he was in the ‘photoshop’ using a ‘flash’ light. But on the serious side of things, one of the amazing new features that comes with Photoshop…

Ever thought about throwing a cupcake at someone? Let this high-tech cannon do it for you and film it at 700fps.

Ever thought about throwing a cupcake at someone? Let this high-tech cannon do it for you and film it at 700fps.

I can’t think of a better way to start your weekend than waking up to a video of cupcakes being hurled directly at peoples faces using a state-of-the-art cupcake cannon. Kamp Grizzly, out of Portland, developed this cannon which shoots these delicious snacks at an astonishing 120psi. But why stop there. They then took this device and decided it would be a great idea (I must agree) to film everything in 700 frames per second. There is something about slow motion film that makes everything seem better. Even though it’s a cupcake, that has got to hurt. I guess there is only one way to find out. Watch the…

Will we see Social Media Rehab centers soon?

Will we see Social Media Rehab centers soon?

Researchers at the University of Maryland asked 200 students to put down their cell phones, iPods, Facebook, Twitter and all other media devices for 24 hours to study the effects of an addiction to these applications/products. Susan Moeller, a journalism professor at the university, is behind the project and found that students started showing withdrawal and anxiety after the 24 hour time period. One student was quote as saying: “I clearly am addicted and the dependency is sickening. Between having a Blackberry, a laptop, a television, and an iPod, people have become unable to shed their media…

Photobooth software gives the world costume ideas for Halloween.

Photobooth software gives the world costume ideas for Halloween.

Everyone has used or seen the photos created by using the Photobooth software on any Mac computer. You sit there, and with the click of a button, your face is automatically distorted, warped, twirled and more. It’s definitely amusing for ten minutes or so. Designer, Mark Pernice of Brooklyn, decided he wanted to stretch that ten minutes of amusement and transform a photo into real life. He used the Photobooth software to capture a distorted photo of himself and made his captured face into a mask that incredibly matches the photo. (Some people just have way too much time on their hands). I wonder if…

Google has recently added high quality street level photos to its Google Earth application that will allow you to take a virtual 3D tour of the city from the comfort of your own home. I know its not the same as being there, but not only do you see images of what New York looks like, you feel as though you are the main character in a Grand Theft Auto video game while scouring through the city. Not sure if its the smooth jazz saxophones, or the stimulating drum beat playing throughout the video,…

Thank Thanko for thinking with their feet and releasing a USB pedal board.

Are you like most of us and despise moving your pinky finger over an inch to hit the Enter key on your keyboard? I know, its quite stressful on your poor finger and frustrating when you miss and hit the “Quotation” key. Well, what if I were to tell you, that instead of using your pinky finger for the Enter key, you can use your foot. Thanko, a company based out of Tokyo, has released a 3-pedal unit that allows you to assign a key on your keyboard to each pedal. Ultimate laziness?, or incredibly amazing time-saver? This current product is compatible with Windows XP, 7, and Vista. I’m not one for playing too…

For everyone using their DSLRs to shoot HD video, it just got a bit more convenient. You can now take off your glasses and stop looking at your 2.5 inch LCD screen and substitute it for a 5.6 inch HD monitor. Skate, Cycle and Ski all at the same time with Chariot Skates.

Skate, Cycle and Ski all at the same time with Chariot Skates.

While searching for the latest and greatest technology and gadgets, I rolled upon this website and was both intrigued and confused. Introducing Chariot Skates, a innovative idea from inventor Michael Jenkins from Australia. He has turned his idea of meshing skating, skiing and cycling all into one idea. He has essentially taken two large wheels and attached the skater’s foot below the axle for a more fluid ride. Although I am extremely interested in testing out these skates, I wonder if I will have the guts to strap them on and head down to the beach and actually use this product in public. It kind…
