Google seems set to stick it to iTunes in an attempt to carve out its own slice of the music market, hoping that by linking music sales up with its dominant search engine it will be able to achieve a content ecosystem designed to support sales of devices powered by its browser-based Android-one-day-Chrome OS. If you’re an iPhone gamer then you’ll be really, really excited to hear what Final Fantasy developer, Square Enix, has up its sleeve for introduction at next week’s E3 Expo. In development since last year expectation is high for the game, though we know almost nothing about it. Video and pictures of the hotly-anticipated Motorola Droid 2 have leaked out on the Internet, reaching us via Droid Life. The images confirm the new phone will keep that physical keyboard (proving there’s life outside of Apple’s focus on touch as the user interface), but the keyboard has been improved, with raised keys and no D-pad (hurrah). The Google home page today celebrates the World Cup all across the planet, except (strangely) in the US, where the search giant is celebrating the birthday of the great Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
