I thought the only time I would ever feel seasick is while actually out at sea, but maybe I can experience that feeling again if I purchase a Nintendo 3DS. Talk about hitting an untapped market. First, a question for the male readers: have you ever been in a restroom, taking care of business, and bored out of your mind? If you haven’t used Flock, one of the original “social browsers,” then… Actually, that was the problem. So few HAD used Flock, at least long term. Technically speaking, they had 10 million users, but based upon numbers from third parties that active usage of the beleaguered browser was likely much lower. From an industry perspective, 2010 was a fascinating year in video games. We saw both Microsoft and Sony successfully release motion control add-ons to existing systems – something that a few years ago, would have seemed unbelievable. (And frankly, even though we here at Techi did predict it, we were all a bit surprised how successful Kinect was). The Xbox 360 will likely outsell the Wii in North America, while Call of Duty: Black Ops outsold most games total sales in its first month.
