You're never too old to pwn n00bs on video games

The thinking that video games are just for kids has been long dispelled. Today, men and women of all ages are playing. Even the video game makers are catering their games to adults more than kids, knowing that it’s often easier to get someone to fork over $70 for a game if they’re the ones that are going to end up playing it. There has always been a line drawn for the elderly. You don’t see too many people cashing in their social security checks to grab the latest edition of Call of Duty, but it might just be a matter of exposure. TIL: Brazilian gamers pay nearly double per game

TIL: Brazilian gamers pay nearly double per game

In North America, we usually pay roughly around $60 for a good quality game, and since most games are marketed and produced in America our laws have been able to accommodate our leisure’s.  However, sadly gamers in Brazil do not have the same luxury as us and instead pay nearly double what we do for the same game. 1986 Talking Whiz Kid vintage laptop video game

One of the most advanced technologies as a kid growing up in the 80’s was a VTech Talking Whiz Kid; many of you may remember learning from this gaming system with its external features looking much like a little briefcase when it closed or almost like today’s laptops until the handle popped up. Reminiscing over this retro device allows one to see how much a laptop does replicate the look even with a pull button at the front to open the Talking Whiz Kid, who knew then that similar styled devices would be popular computing devices of today (though fortunately we do not need cartridges, am I right?)…
