Can the Yellow Jacket stun gun cell phone case take personal safety to the next level?

Can the Yellow Jacket stun gun cell phone case take personal safety to the next level?

Most people do not own or regularly carry personal protection weapons such as mace or stun guns. Those who do carry them regularly will often still find that they don’t take them everywhere. In western society, one thing that nearly everyone takes around with them everywhere they go is a cell phone. This fact might be the reason that Yellow Jacket has a safety solution for everyone. They first started getting serious about developing their cell phone case stun gun July, 2012, when they hit their IndieGoGo goal of $100,000 with three hours left in the campaign. From there, it was just a matter of developing…

The iPhone case that allows you to re-visit the 90’s

The iPhone case that allows you to re-visit the 90’s

Do you remember the 90’s? When Beverly Hills 90210 wasn’t a remake, sideburns were cool, again, the song, “Ice, Ice, Baby” was a hit on the radio and when everyone invested in owning a cellphone, that’s right, not a mobile device or smartphone, a cell phone. Times have certainly changed and many of us miss those days, but now we can re-visit the 90’s with this very cool iPhone case. …

iPhone photography and the world around

iPhone photography and the world around

The Apple iPhone 4s is just not another pretty face with sleek design and glorious interface. The iPhone is designed with what could be the best camera to be installed in a phone on the market! This 8 megapixel camera phone comes with a tremendous amount of features to make every picture that much better. Whether you are a shutter bug, or just someone who wants a camera for life on the go, the iPhone 4s has stepped it up from prior models with a higher dynamic of color range, larger f/2.4 aperture, inferred filter, multiple focal points, intergraded editing software and all powered by Apple’s mighty…

T-Mobile iPhone 4 in the works

T-Mobile iPhone 4 in the works

It was bound to happen sooner or later, and it appears that Apple is making preparations for the eventual T-Mobile iPhone 4. A report by BGR says that a T-Mobile-enabled iPhone prototype has been leaked with some interesting feature speculation. It is possibly utilizing the A5 chip like the one in the fabled iPhone 4S, according to 9to5Mac.  The prototype is dubbed “N94″ following the Verizon “N92.” Here are some leaked images courtesy of BGR: …

iPhone Heads Back to Basics

iPhone Heads Back to Basics

Apparently the iPhone 4 was simply too much awesome. The world wasn’t ready. Or maybe, Apple wasn’t. Whatever the case, Taiwan’s Economic Daily News is reporting that Apple’s heading back to aluminum (instead of glass) for the iPhone 5, championing a design that harkens back to the bog-standard iPod Touch. The problem is probably more about the painting and scratching fiascos the iPhone 4′s been experiencing and much less about the world’s level of preparedness, but I for one am sad to see the new iPhone design go so soon (if the rumour is first to be trusted at all). The iPhone 4 was following a rather…

The iPhone 4

The iPhone 4's Delay Was Caused by... Paint

The Woz has let fly a rumour that the iPhone 4′s delay is, in fact, due to the paint, of all things. During an appearance on The Engadget Show Live! last night, Woz explained that the painting process being used was allowing light to leak in and cause issues with camera performance. But those of you still clinging to your small shred of hope can breathe easy – the device still seems to be on course for its ‘spring’ release date, as a new painting process developed by a small Japanese company has squashed the problem. As light leaks are largely responsible for some of the most hipster photographs on the internet,…

The Coolest and Most Unergonomic iPhone 4 Case Yet

The Coolest and Most Unergonomic iPhone 4 Case Yet

I know that if there is one thing you want to have with your iPhone 4, be it whether you already have one or intend on getting one, it would have to be a killer case. Well guess what, I think I have just found it. It’s called the BrickCase by SmallWorks, and it is surely going to give any LEGO enthusiast a heart attack. While they don’t look particularly comfortable by any stretch of the imagination, they do look cool. They are iPhone 4 cases built to look like LEGO blocks, and that they most certainly do. SmallWorks currently offers three different versions of the cases, and they are all immediately available…

Apple claims (unofficially) to have fixed the iPhone 4 Antenna problem

Apple claims (unofficially) to have fixed the iPhone 4 Antenna problem

A couple of months ago, rumours and speculations started to surface about a revised version of the iPhone 4 being released which fixes the notorious dropped call antenna issue. A Mexican carrier Telcel seemed to suggest that this was the case and that the fix was due to coincide with the end of the free bumper program (September 30th). We called Apple’s tech support and according to them, this issue has been fixed in all iPhones manufactured from the beginning of October (when the free bumper program ended). Of course, Apple did not publicly announce this, else that would lead to an onslaught of…

Where in the World is the White iPhone 4?

Where in the World is the White iPhone 4?

So, uh… hey, how you holdin’ up? Doin’ okay? You feelin’ alright today? Yeah? Bein’ strong? That’s a relief. Because I’m about to drop a hell of a bomb on you. The, um… the white iPhone 4 is missing. What? No, no, it’s not lost! We just… don’t know where it is, that’s all. Apple seems to have taken it down from the store, which is not good amidst rumours that it was to be canceled altogether. There isn’t even a placeholder anymore. It’s just… gone. Honestly, I don’t know why everyone and their dog has such a frothy mouth for the white iPhone 4. White tech never fares well, least of all white tech designed…

No More Gunking Your Screen With Your Filthy, Filthy Hands While You Text

No More Gunking Your Screen With Your Filthy, Filthy Hands While You Text

One of the deciding factors that made me go Blackberry instead of picking up an iPhone 4 was the tactile keyboard. I’m sorry, but there’s just no replacement for real buttons. I don’t care how swiftly you tapdance around that onscreen keyboard – the fact remains that it’s a f***ing screen. But maybe if I’d held out just a little longer, I could have gotten the tall glass of water in the iPhone desert that is this wicked rad flip out keyboard from ThinkGeek. The TK-421 (catchy name, guys) needs no explanation, so I won’t insult you by giving you one. Just bask in its rad, maybe put on a little music. It’s Bluetooth…

This iPhone IS The Droid You

This iPhone IS The Droid You're Looking For

After this story a couple of weeks ago, it’s not surprising to see more riffs on the iPhone 4 decal theme. This one is even more awesome and nerdy than a decal of a Nintendo NES controller – a Star Wars R2-D2 decal. Oh yes. Imagine the fun you’ll have, pushing your iPhone back and forth across the table, making beeping noises and talking to it in your best C3PO voice! I have no problem admitting that this alone makes the iPhone 4 a more appealing upgrade from my current 3GS….

iPhone Gaming Reaches A New Level Of Awesome

iPhone Gaming Reaches A New Level Of Awesome

So the iPhone is the new king of mobile gaming, at least until Sony or Nintendo strikes back. But if you remember gaming the old fashioned way, you might not feel entirely comfortable with your iPhone 4. Here’s an answer to your prayers: The iPhone 4 Nintendo NES controller decal. Okay, it’s mostly for show, although it will help with that pesky “easily shattered glass on both sides” problem. Mainly though, the feature is that it makes your iPhone 4 look really, really cool, and at $5 from Etsy it’s affordable too….
