Video: WiFi Sync Your iPhone With This App

The jury is out, the app has been submitted. WiFiSync lets you sync your iPhone or iPod touch wirelessly. We’d love to see it win approval from the App Store team, it seems the software’s to be submitted this week. We’d be surprised if Apple allows it through….

iPhone 4, Gizmodo, Apple: Bloggers Are Journalists

iPhone 4, Gizmodo, Apple: Bloggers Are Journalists

The big story continues to be Gizmodo’s iPhone 4 revelations, and a police raid in which editor, Jason Chen’s computers were seized and his house searched. At issue here could be the rights of journalists to report the story they have in their hands, as corporate America continues its attempt to define bloggers as not being journalists, while offering recognition as journalists only to those writers who are connected to big name corporate media brands. California’s Rapid Enforcement Allied Computer Team seized four computers and two servers from the editor’s house. They did so using a…

Retro-fit Your iPhone

Retro-fit Your iPhone

Absolutely the coolest thing I’ve seen in weeks, the iRetrofone is exactly what it appears to be – an old skool phone that uses your iPhone rather than your phone line. That’s right, 1955 called, it wants its phone back. With this add-on you’ll be perfectly suited to take that call. The iRetrofone is hand made, lovingly cast one at a time in resin. It also allows you to connect via USB to your computer for syncing and charging. Available in black, pink and clear, the iRetrofone will set you back $195, a hefty sum over and above the ha’penny price tag one might expect for such an item. Oh well – no one ever said…

Massage Chair Controlled By iPhone And iPod Touch

Massage Chair Controlled By iPhone And iPod Touch

Let’s be honest here, the iPod and iPhone does pretty much everything that we want it to do, except massage you. Human Touch has now launched a massage chair that can be controlled by the touch of the iPod or iPhone, taking care of that little problem. Human Touch Connect is the very first massage chair that lets its users personalize the chair to their own needs through internet connectivity. Human Touch Connect is connected through a Bluetooth link on the iPhone or iPod touch to directly start many massage programs, expertise and user friendly functions. The Human Touch Connect is available…

MiLi Power Skin Cases Charge Apple Devices

MiLi Power Skin Cases Charge Apple Devices

The new MiLi Power Skin case for the iPhone is not just a protective case but can also juice up the battery at the same time. The MiLi Power Skin is able to work as a charging system because of the 1,200-mAH lithium polymer battery that is housed in the thin case. The MiLi will be equipped with a USB port in order to connect the iPhone or iPod to the device. The MiLi Power Skins are more than just style but for those who are into things that are esthetically pleasing, the cases will be available in eight two-color combinations and be available for around $69.95. Blu-Ray Players Use Apple Devices as Remote Controls

Blu-Ray Players Use Apple Devices as Remote Controls

Pioneer announced their new line of Blu-ray players yesterday. These new models are exactly the same as older versions, except for one new detail. The new line is now able to be controlled with an app on your iPhone or  iPod Touch. Along with Pioneer’s free iControlAV app, users can connect to their network and control the device’s many functions. This new feature is basically the same as using a remote control, but with a modern twist. Remotes get lost in the couch or deprogrammed. Having this app as a back-up might be a good idea when you’re too lazy to get up and manually change the channels. If being…

Alan Kay Notebook Guru Takes Scratch To Apple

Alan Kay Notebook Guru Takes Scratch To Apple

He may have predicted that Apple’s iPad would ‘rule the world’, but the man who invented the notebook concept isn’t happy with Steve Jobs at the moment. Alan Kay is one of the great heroes of the technological revolution we’re still experiencing today. So much so that when Apple introduced the iPad, Jobs took pains to send Kay one as a personal gift. But it isn’t the product that Kay has a problem with – it’s Apple’s determination to control what developers do with it. Apple last week changed the terms of its deal with developers, introducing new clauses which forbid iPhone apps from…

Adobe Pans Its Flash For iPhone Backdoor Plan

Adobe Pans Its Flash For iPhone Backdoor Plan

Adobe has ceased development of its tools to export Flash content into a format suitable for the iPhone. “We will still be shipping the ability to target the iPhone and iPad in Flash CS5,” said Adobe’s Mike Chambers. “However, we are not currently planning any additional investments in that feature.” Apple CEO Steve Jobs has previously slammed Adobe as “lazy” and Flash as unsuitable for use on mobile devices. Apple has not enabled Flash playback on the iPhone, pushing the open HTML 5 standard instead. Adobe’s announced cessation of development follows Apple’s decision…

Apple iPhone Drives Record Quarter, iPad Sales

Apple iPhone Drives Record Quarter, iPad Sales 'Shocking'

Strong iPhone and Mac sales and the continued dominance of Apple’s iPod drove the company to deliver a new record March quarter in revenue and profit. Admitting these results, chief operating officer Tim Cook also confirmed iPad sales so far have “shocked” company execs. Asked how the iPad compares to netbooks, Cook said, “To me, it’s a no-brainer. It’s sort of 100 to 0. I can’t think of a single thing a netbook does well.” Returning to the results, Apple CEO, Steve Jobs said: “We’re thrilled to report our best non-holiday quarter ever, with revenues up 49 percent and profits…

A New iPhone In China Appears, Aimed For Women?

A New iPhone In China Appears, Aimed For Women?

Nope. While it does have the Apple branding on it, we are certain that this thing is nothing more than a Chinese knock-off that has a cute design. It is supposedly called the “Leady Apple” (maybe Google Translate is having a very bad day), and it looks like a blend between a mirror and phone. But don’t be fooled by the Apple logo and iPhone branding on the back side of this phone. Again, we are sure Apple wouldn’t venture so far out there with a design like this. (We are also sure that every news publication on Earth would have caught wind of this.) What is admirable, however, is the round design and the round…

iPhone Four-G-ery

iPhone Four-G-ery

Engadget’s iPhone 4G photos are NOT genuine, according to a Mac Rumors reader. The device is apparently a Japanese clone, despite looking nothing at all like any existing iPhone design. The phone has almost identical markings on the rear to the iPhone, but has square corners not rounded edges. Andy Ihnatko chimed in last night, casting doubt upon the validity of the phone. “And does this even look like an Apple product? Every Apple mobile device — from MacBooks to iPods, with iPhones and iPads in between — belongs to the same style family.” Apple nerds will simply have to wait until June or July…
