Privacy is a hot button issue right now, but Facebook isn’t the only big player vying for a piece of other people’s pies. Google too has stepped up and admitted it might have mistakenly collected personal data while shooting images for it’s Street View system. Google is no stranger to accusations of compromising user privacy online through it’s search products, but apparently decided to go old school, and took to the streets to collect information from users’ own wifi networks. All we do know is that you click on the little head with the 3D glasses and presto – insta-3D. While this may sound like an April Fool’s joke – and it may very well be a kind of one – we’ve seen this with our own eyes, and you can too, checking anywhere in Google Maps that supports Streetview. Google’s in big, big trouble in the UK, where military chiefs and MPs are furious with the company after a Street View glitch saw images of a top secret military base published on the Web. And it’s not just any military base, it is the headquarters of the UK’s most elite force, the SAS, reports The Daily Mail. Street View has published detailed pictures of the facility in Credenhill, Herefordshire, which has never before appeared on any maps….
