In case you didn't know Disney had a movie streaming service, it's shutting down at the end of the year

It falls under the category of “don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone”. Disney’s three-year-old experiment with streaming movies is coming to a close at the end of the year. We hardly knew you. “The digital environment is rapidly evolving and Disney Movies Online does not have the flexibility that many users today demand”, a Disney spokesperson said in a statement. “We made a business decision to close the service until we are able to provide the greatest value and experience to our customers.” Here’s what it says about it on their website. Amazon's Prime Instant Video Goes Live: Netflix Need Not Worry (Yet)

Amazon Prime subscribers have received a bit of a treat, as Amazon just flipped the switch for Prime subscribers to stream movies. There are over 5,000 movies and television shows are available. Early reviews peg the service as promising. But Netflix it is not. The “free” Amazon Prime Instant Video service — with a not so free $79 Amazon Prime subscription — has a collection of movies and television shows that is sort of what you would expect.
