Heads up, Dropbox users on Android, because your storage app is getting an update today that you’ll probably want to snag as soon as possible. Dropbox pinged me to say that its Android app has been updated to version 2.4.5.10. Included with the new version is the ability to export files to your SD card, improved support for Android L and faster search performance.
After several requests, Dropbox for Android users can now export files to their device’s SD card. This new feature will help keep important items like documents and photos accessible whenever offline or switching from one device to another. To move a file from the cloud to an SD card, tap the “Quick Action” button to the right of the targeted item that you’re trying to save. After that select “More” then “Export” and hit “Save to Device.” From there, your device’s SD card should show up as an eligible save option. The update appears to be rolling out slowly, so it may take a little time to hit your device. However, if all else fails, you can swing by Google Play to pull down the latest version of Dropbox for Android.
