Even though Windows has consistently been one of the most popular gaming platforms in the world, if not THE most popular, Microsoft has never really focused much on the gaming aspects of its operating system. However, that’s all going to change with Windows 10, according to Xbox head Phil Spencer, who explains that Microsoft is looking to focus a particular level of attention on its gaming customers.
Microsoft is still riding high after a second consecutive NPD victory in December, but Xbox head Phil Spencer is already looking ahead to the next big thing. In this case, that big thing is the company’s Windows 10 event on January 21st, where Spencer and his team plan to discuss Microsoft’s plans for making the new operating system a platform for gamers. “I’m excited to be talking on January 21st,” said Spencer. “We have speakers coming up talking about Windows 10 and the great work that we’re doing there. For the Xbox team, this is the beginning of our discussion with fans about the work that we’re doing to bring gaming to the Windows 10 operating system.”
