It was revealed earlier today by interviewers who spoke with some Bethesda employees at E3 that Fallout will run at 1080p@30FPS across all platforms. Needless to say, this was disappointing for PC users, especially considering how much love Bethesda has shown the platform over the years. However, shortly after the revelation, Bethesda took to Twitter to clarify that this only applies to consoles and that the PC version won’t have any kind of resolution or FPS limitations.

Although it wasn’t playable, the biggest game at E3 this year was the highly anticipated Fallout 4. It comes out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this Fall, and Bethesda has revealed the technical specifications for all three versions. According to a tweet from Bethesda Softworks, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Fallout 4 will run at 1080p/30FPS. It’s not a surprising announcement, though I’m sure many fans were hoping for a higher framerate on consoles. Bethesda also states that the “resolution and FPS are not limited in any way on the PC.” Bethesda games have always delivered better experiences on the PC, and it looks like Fallout 4 will be no different. Fallout 4 comes out this Fall on November 10. Be sure to read our recap of the upcoming RPG and what we know about the game from this year’s E3.
