As if bringing backwards compatibility to the Xbox One, which was previously thought to be virtually impossible, wasn’t enough, Microsoft is apparently working on a way to bring Xbox 360 games over to Windows 10 computers as well. This is according to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who said in a recent interview that getting Xbox 360 games to work on computers is something he really wants to see happen, and the company is currently figuring out how it would go about doing that.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has revealed Microsoft’s interest in making Xbox 360 games available to play on the Windows 10 platform. Speaking to Gizmodo Brazil, Spencer says the backwards compatibility scheme that’ll bring previous-gen classics to the Xbox One isn’t all Microsoft has in its sites. When responding to a question on whether original Xbox games may come to the new console, Spencer said (via VentureBeat): “[Xbox games on Xbox One is] something I want to do, but it is a matter of priority. “I would love to have the ability to play Xbox 360 on PC at some point too, so we have different things we have to think about when we plan these things. “But it would be great to have support for original Xbox games. So yes, I want it, but we have many other things we want to do as well.” The drive to open up Xbox 360 games to those rocking the new Xbox One console has earned Microsoft a little favour as it seeks to reel in the PS4’s huge lead. The eagerly-anticipated feature is currently in preview, with classics like Mass Effect, Borderlands, Project Dark Zero and Gears of War available to try.
