YouTube is working on a separate mobile app for content creators

YouTube hasย announcedย a new initiative called Creator Preview, a video series in which the Google-owned company shares what features it is working on for creators. In the first video, YouTube reveals it is building a mobile app just for creators, a feature that lets fans directly contribute funds to creators, and a โ€œway to harness the power of the crowd to create captions and subtitles for your videos in 60+ languages.

YouTubeย announcedย today that it will be releasing regular โ€œCreator Previewโ€ videos letting YouTube creators know about upcoming features so they can provide feedback ahead of time. In the first Creator Preview, the companyย announced that itโ€™s working on a separate mobile app just for creators in addition to a few other interesting new features: “Weโ€™ve put together our firstย Creator Previewย video, a run-down of what weโ€™re working on to make YouTube better for you. Weโ€™ll be doing this regularly, so you can stay informed on where weโ€™re headed.”ย Also coming soon is a feature that will let fans donate directly to YouTube channels without leaving YouTube.
