Kids and coding coming together

The IT revolution has been happening for a couple of decades now as jobs are plentiful in the land of tech. The challenge has been that the barrier to entry for students is often too high because it’s something that most have had to start in their spare time rather than through structured courses prior to college. is changing that.

Computer programming has declined in American schools over the past decade, in spite of its developmental value — not to mention career benefits — for kids. Only 10 percent of American schools teach computer science; girls and minorities are woefully excluded. This December, will reverse this trend, calling on millions of students to engage in one Hour of Code.
