Samsung’s “Huron” Windows Phone has passed through the FCC

Samsung’s “Huron” Windows Phone, which has been repeatedly rumored for a Verizon release, has passed through the FCC. And, wouldn’t you know it, the mysterious device was sporting Verizon bands, as to be expected. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a Samsung device running WP on Verizon, but this latest shred of evidence all but seals it. Details are still fairly slim, but it’s likely we’ll hear something official pretty soon here.

The unannounced Samsung SM-W750Vcodenamed Huron, made an appearance at the FCC today, this allowing us to confirm that the handset supports Verizon’s LTE bands (4 and 13). Thus, the largest US mobile carrier might indeed launch the phone sometime soon. Sadly, the FCC doesn’t tell us much else about the new smartphone. But we did notice that it’s got NFC, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and global 3G connectivity. Earlier this week, @evleaks revealed that the SM-W750V is a Windows Phone handset that looks a lot like the Android-based Galaxy S4. We’re expecting the SM-W750V to have S4-like features, including a 5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, 13MP rear camera, quad-core Snapdragon processor, and 2GB of RAM.
