Video footage of what claims to be the back panel of the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6, also dubbed the iPhone 6 Air, has been leaked online. The rear panel is sized up against a ruler, pretty much confirming previous rumors of a 5.5-inch display for the second iPhone 6. Previous dimensions supposedly sourced from Apple supplier Foxconn, stated that the 4.7-inch model measures up at 138 x 66 x 6.9mm, while the larger 5.5-inch iteration offers dimensions of 158 x 78 x 7.1mm.

A purported back panel for the 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6 – also known as the iPhone Air – surfaced today in a new video. While parts for the 4.7-inch version of the iPhone 6 have shown up a nearly daily basis as of late, parts for the rumored 5.5-inch version of the device have been far more scarce to come by. While a few have appeared here or there, it is has been infrequent enough to make people question whether or not Apple’s first phablet was indeed going to launch this year. This new video from Nowhereelse.fr – a site with a good track record for Apple leaks – shows off what appears to be the rear panel for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The video shows off the antenna bands we’ve been seeing for some time now, the cut outs for the new placement of the power button as well as the elongated volume button slots. The report also says that Apple has indeed settled on the name “iPhone Air” for the larger device.
