LG’s adorable (and kinda creepy) AKA smartphone has been wildly successful in South Korea which has prompted the company to expand the device to new markets. While it was reported that the LG AKA was coming to Taiwan a short time ago, the list of new markets now includes mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Turkey as well.

According to a press release by LG (source link below) the Korean manufacturer is set to release its LG AKA smartphone to markets overseas. This colorful Android smartphone was initially supposed to be an exclusive for the Korean market. LG has decided, however, to release this phone to markets in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Turkey. LG notes the fact that the phone has seen “healthy sales and positive customer feedback for its originality and sense of humor.” What sets this phone apart from the pack, is the fact that it comes in four different styles or “personas” which are an important part of the device and represent one of four colors: white, yellow, navy, and pink. These personas translate into wallpapers, widgets, and ringtones. The phones also feature a set of animated eyes that can be customized by the user, that show when you place the colorful case on the phone.
