Reddit’s beloved communications director, whose firing last week led to extreme backlash, opened up Wednesday about her experience at the stumbling company and where she sees herself in the future. Victoria Taylor, who has been praised by users for improving Reddit’s popular AMA feature, expressed gratitude to her supporters and voiced her appreciation for the Reddit community at large in a statement posted on Reddit. “You can take the woman out of reddit, but you can’t take the reddit out of the woman,” she wrote. Prior to the statement, Taylor had also posted a tweet thanking her advocates, but declined to go into the reasons behind her departure. “Thank you to everyone for their good wishes and support. Love you guys.”
