Samsung might start leasing its Galaxy smartphones like Apple

Samsung may start leasing its Galaxy phones in the US, according to sources. The report came in two weeks after Apple has announced its own leasing plan. According to a source, the move from the South Korean tech company came in as no surprise, and that the new offer may be available in the coming months. Samsung is yet to comment on the issue. Cupertino has introduced its smartphone leasing option, called the “iPhone Upgrade Plan,” along with the launch of its iPhone 6S series on Sept. 9. “Because the iPhone Upgrade Program isn’t tied to a single carrier, you don’t need a multiyear service contract. If you don’t have any carrier commitments, you’re free to select a new carrier or stick with the one you have. With only a little over US$32 a month, iPhone fans can already get their new and unlocked iPhone (every year), which already includes Apple Care.
