Rumor: Xiaomi will unveil the Mi Note 2 on November 5th

1 min read

The year is coming to an end and Xiaomi still hasn’t released the two flagship smartphones that everyone has been so eagerly waiting for: the Mi5 and the Mi Note 2. Xiaomi has been infuriatingly quiet regarding the two devices, but there’s been no shortage of leaks and rumors about them, the latest of which claims that the Mi Note 5 will be unveiled in about a month. Aside from that there isn’t much in the way of new information, although it has been suggested that the Mi Note 2 will actually be the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with a full-metal body.

Xiaomi is not over with the smartphone releases for this year. The Chinese company is expected to launch at least two new devices by the end of 2015, the Mi5 and Mi Note 2. Both devices are rumored to be unveiled sometime in November, but the information hasn’t been confirmed by Xiaomi yet. According to a new report, today, yet another rumor coming from @Leaksfly, claims Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be officially introduced on November 5. The information has been leaked via Weibo, but once again we recommend our reader to take it with a grain of salt since it hasn’t been confirmed. According to the cited source, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 should boast a large 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. This puts it in the flagship category, even though the Chinese company is expected to launch another high-end smartphone this year, the Mi5. Apart from the hyper-vibrant display, the Mi Note 2 will also come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. There’s no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion, but this shouldn’t surprise anyone since Xiaomi is known for not offering this feature in all of its high-end handsets.
