Just recently we heard from @evleaks that the Nexus program was being put down and Android Silver was stepping in.  But now another leak from Evleaks states: “Android Silver, circa February 2015.” Ok, so let me get this straight and if I am wrong, drop me a comment.  Nexus 5 release: October 2013, if the Nexus line is really over with and Android Silver isn’t due till February 2015, we are looking at 16 months of no device release from Google.

We first heard about Google’s new “Android Silver” program back in April. The service will reportedly be centered around the idea of providing support to customers after they purchase their Android device, including things like 24/7 live support and a new “Never Lost” feature, reminiscent of the iOS Find my iPhone feature. A later report also detailed that Google would partner with Android device manufacturers for the service, perhaps as early as early 2015. Now, notorious Twitter leakster Evleaks is getting in on the Android Silver news with a trio of cryptic tweets. The first one simply stated that “There is no Nexus 6. Farewell, Nexus.” Ev then tweeted “Don’t worry, there’s a silver lining to this could.” Finally, the leakster posted “Android Silver, circa February 2015.”
