The US Patent & Trademark Office has published a patent application from Apple that reveals a new ordering and reservation system that could work with various Apple iDevices. Although the system can be modified to be apply to movie theaters, repair services, museums and the like, Apple’s main focus is on a restaurant market application.

Thanks to Siri, Apple can quickly help you find movie times and buy tickets, make an appointment on your calendar, and sometimes rickroll you. At this point Siri can even help you make a reservation at a restaurant, although that’s through integration with OpenTable (try asking Siri “Make reservations for two at an Italian restaurant at 7 PM for an example”).
