Google Messenger has just received a major update that brings two highly requested features as well as some performance and stability improvements. Messenger users can now send and view animated GIFs from within the app and Google has added a widget so that users can view and access their conversations from their home screen.

Google has just released an update for its SMS and MMS app, Google Messenger. This new update brings two new features along with some bug fixes and performance enhancements. First on the list is animated GIF support, so now you can view these animated GIFs right from within Messenger.
