Facebook told us it was coming, and even showed us what the Instagram ads were going to look like when they launched. Well, as of Friday, Instagram is now home to new advertisements. It’s the next step in Facebook’s move to generate additional revenue, particularly from mobile, and it shows how it’s finally going to turn its $1 billion purchase of Instagram into a profitable enterprise.
